I think you can do a little bit better with the people, might look better if they were a bit less detailed.. sort of like silhouettes fading into the sandstorm.
Anyways the choice of colors for the sky look really nice and i like how you drew the profile of the robot. It's very simple yet the level of details are awesome :3

Get that Robot more contrasted, get some real nice darks in there where the head is away from the sun. Also the lighting is super warm red and it some of that red should be hitting the face area not a white sheen. Also with the desert, the closer to the viewer the darker the values will be because it will be away from the sun.
You have great technique but you're still pussy footing around the colors and the values, start pushing that stuff, create some real tension with the paint.
The strongest thing about this piece is the sky background because you have the variety of colors and decent contrast, and even then you could push those more.
